sweet, sweet country living

this morning, like every morning, i got on the bus to go to school. since i'm not much for public transportation, i've been using the mta trip planner to figure out which buses i should take. today i had to venture out to a new part of campus and therefore had to take a new bus line. the 3s lavender. freaking 3s lavender!! this is the bus line i was told to take by the internet. i don't trust technology and this why...the bus arrived exactly on time and i got on board. beautiful start. but after being on the bus for a while i realize we're going to the wrong side of town. i look at the mta website on my phone to make sure i'm on the right bus and there it is...3s lavender! but it's going the wrong way! so i ask the bus driver why we're not headed towards my stop. he tells me that this bus doesn't even go to that stop! what the hell, internet!? completely steered me wrong. so i proceed to freak out. i have 10 minutes to get to class and it'll take me at least 30 minutes to change buses and get to my destination. :( thankfully, i live in a small country town. the bus driver sees how sad i am and calls up his supervisor on the radio. he then drops me off in front of the home depot where his supervisor is waiting in his "mta supervisor" minivan. the supervisor ends up taking me straight to my class and i was only 10 minutes late! small town living at its finest! maybe living here isn't so bad after all.

  1. woo i'm first to comment! wow can't believe the bus driver did that for you. that was super nice. dude if that happened here i think the bus driver would have been "And?". lols. well happy you made it to class. at least now you know that the 3s lavender is not the bus to take to go to that one side of campus. =) happy you wrote your first entry! keep em coming. even just a single thought would be cool. please. thanks!
